A: For the best service, the branch where the loan was made should be called.


Q: Do payments need to be made at the branch which initiated the loan?

A: No. Payments may be made at the most convenient branch.


Q: How are loan payments applied to my loan balance?

A: Payments are applied to late charges or collection costs on your account (if any). Then to the interest that has accumulated (accrued interest). The remainder of the payment is then applied to the principal balance.


Q: Can I make my payment with a credit card or debit card?

A: No. Citizens does not accept debit or credit cards.

Q: What type of insurance is required on vehicles used as collateral on a loan from Citizens? 
A: Full coverage insurance is required with a maximum deductible of $500.


Q: What should I do if I am unable to make my payment on time?

A: Call the branch where the loan was originated to make arrangements.


Q: Is it possible to delay a payment?

A: Customers may request and if they qualify, be granted a deferment of a payment by paying a month’s interest and signing a deferment form. The maturity of the loan will be extended and the payment schedule moved one month.


Q: Does Citizens Finance originate mortgage loans?

A: No.


Q: Can loan documents be emailed or overnighted?

A: No, Documents must be signed at the branch originating the loan.
